I've been a Topekan since 1959, with a few years spent in the U.S. Army during that period. I do believe that Topeka is one of the finest places in the world to live and work. The only thing besides geography(and geography is just scenery) that makes one place better than another is the people that populate that place. Topeka has the most caring and wonderful people in the world. (OK, so there are a few exceptions out there!) We have excellent schools, health care, library, entertainment and cultural happenings. There is a wonderful community spirit and volunteerism is rampant amoung Topekans.
