Our Fourteenth Anniversary

Fourteen years
That's twice the average time that a marriage lasts
In this day and age.

Fourteen wonderful years.
We've had... what?
Two arguments.
No real fights.
Just love
Fourteen years.

Seven is said to be a majikal number.
Fourteen, then, is at least twice as majikal.
I couldn't've loved you as much seven years ago as I do now.
But I loved you then more than any mortal man could.
And I love you twice as much now.
How does that work?
I reach for my calculator.
There is not a formula.
It just is.
And forever will be.

Love,
Doug
