Nilknarf Daily Haikuthere are times that try, there are loves and friends that die... and we shall go on. |
Today was OK, it would have been good if my belly was cooperating with the rest of my body.
It was 04:30 or so before I got to sleep last night (this morning) and that was not in my plans.
I got up about 13:00 and pretty much felt OK... I ate a quick bowl of cereal before I took Jean to the doc for her initial appointment.
He gave her a script for her mild hypertension and she'll go to the lab on Friday for the normal annual barrage of tests.
After that, we had a number of places to go... the bank, the pet store (Watson has a bad eye) TJ Maxx, the coffee shop, Walgreens and the liquor store.
The coffee shop was a disappointment... we had a piece of the coconut cake and the chocolate cake, both sugar-free. The chocolate one was not good at all, and the coconut was still from the same cake from a week or so ago, I think.
We had bought some martini glasses at TJ Maxx, 'cause I have never had a martini, and it's about time. The stop at the liquor store was to get the makin's for said martini. That probably won't happen until Friday, however.
We were at home for a coupla hours, washed out Watson's eye, then we decided to go to Taco Villa again, and had a nice meal again... that place is growing on me, and on Jean too.
I have spent more time in the bathroom today than I have anywhere else... I should be over this by now, my butt can't heal if this keeps up!
And... tomorrow I'm getting my annual physical, which means a prostate exam, which I will defer until another time if I'm not feeling better.
My stomach is constantly rumbling and it's really getting tiresome, and occasionally painful.
And I still have to make the folder for September....
"Those who invalidate reason ought seriously to consider whether they argue against reason or without reason; if with reason, then they establish the principle that they are laboring to dethrone: but if they argue without reason (which, in order to be consistent with themselves they must do), they are out of reach of rational conviction, nor do they deserve a rational argument." — Ethan Allen
