And now June is leaving us... damn! these days and weeks and months go fast... especially when you're having fun. Which I am doing... with a little help from Jean, of course! We had to go by the bank today before heading to Manhattan, and we stopped and got coffee and a bagel for breakfast. Uneventful trip there, but Jean was driving so I got to admire the beautiful (no sarcasm!) green hills of Eastern Kansas. And, of course, if I looked to my left I could see Jean... more Kansas beauty! Jean cleaned around her house and cats while I did my first web-check of the day and then attempted to fix her toilet... I failed, naturally. We then went to a junk store chock-full of goodies and then went to meet her daughter Moira and her fiancee Kevin for supper. We were planning on meeting at a place by the college, but when we got there the sign on the door said that they were closed on Tuesdays.... So we went to a place called Whisky Creek and got a table and they met us there after Moira got off work. I was pretty much famished by then, but the restaurant had peanuts, so I lasted until we ordered and got our food. Jean and I had ribs, and they were wonderful... don't know what Moira and Kevin got, but they were happy. We went back to Jean's and picked up some stuff there and came on home. We got here before Tyler did, he'd spent the day with Marta and enjoyed it.... And now I'm just pretty much worn out, but very, very happy.Nilknarf Daily Haiku
