Nilknarf Daily Haiku

hot feline umbrage;
where there was one, there are two...
feelings will be hurt.

Pretty nice day again... we had a nice breeze most of the day.

Jean and I worked on getting Piper clipped... now we're about 9/10ths of the way done.

Tyler's mother got here about 16:00 or so, bringing his computer and clothes... and his cat, Bumpy, who is a beautiful Maine Coon....

She has a temperament similar to Callie, but sweeter and more apt to want some loving on a regular basis if offered... with Callie, it's on her time and her terms.

They are both pretty timid, though, so we'll see what happens as far as who gets to be top cat.

Then sometime soon, Barkley, Jean's cat, will be here, heh... and the fur will fly briefly, 'cause he is not timid at all.

Tyler went with Marta to help her move in and then to eat, and Jean and I went to the Outback and had an excellent meal, then out to Lowes and we got a replacement valve for the upstairs toilet and a window-well cover... piper had fallen through the flimsy one that was on there several times.

Also looked at kitchen lights, and I decided that I would install the battery under-counter ones before I bought anything... I've had those things about six months... and I have cursed the darkness many times without thinking of them.

The clipping session today left us very tired, and I have a crick in my thoracic spine which will be cured with a nice backrub and a nice sleep....
