Daily Nilknarf Haiku

the sky, rotten gray...
the dark moon, influential;
the soul, cold and damp.

Let me go on record... it was not right to fire Imus for this one incident. No, that should have happened 20 years ago.

He's a jackass, and has been for 40 years at least. How old is he? He was probably a jackass starting about 18 months.

Last night I got the first good sleep that I've had in a long time. And I'm still just as tired as I have been every other night these last two weeks, dammit.

I woke up around 03:30, realizing that I hadn't put the trash out. But instead of getting up and putting it out, I just thought about it as I dozed in and out... finally, at 05:00, I put on my robe and went out and dragged the container to the curb, then I went back to bed... for a half-hour. A nice half-hour of dozing, then another 45 minutes hitting the snoozebar....

And when I left for work at 06:15, the trash-guys hadn't been here... or they were here before 05:00, which sometimes happens... but when I got home, they had taken the trash.

Good day at work, though. I was the runner, made all of my sticks with no problems.

And yeah, I shouldn't be left alone with wigs....

They've changed the forecast, we're only gonna get about two inches of snow; that's fine with me.

22:15...
Still just rain, but the snow on the radar has us surrounded... coming within about 20 miles of us; I think it's probably temperature-related, of course.

I'm so glad that it's Friday, I have two whole days off! Being on call is OK, but it's hard to really, really rest when you're on call.

Tomorrow I think that we're gonna go out and look at cars... not a new one, but a trade up. We've been really happy with the Camry, but I'd like on newer by several years... like a 2005 or 2006.

And I really hate shopping for cars... I always get screwed both ways, buying and selling, it seems. But I've gotta do it anyway.
