I was delighted the other day while I was reading Rolling Stone... they had the top twenty "Guitar Gods" listed and there was Nels Cline! I had enjoyed his music in Houston at the SuperHappyFunLand three or four years ago, and wrote about it here. That was on the trip to Austin for the journallers' convention... I wonder if they still have those? I had a pretty good day today... got up on time and everything. Didn't miss any veins... well, one, but the patient had already had two holes poked in her, so I don't really count that.... Tired tonight, though... and my back's getting a little twingy again, dammit. I'm out of pain pills, but I still have the muscle relaxers. And some way or another, I frittered away the whole evening; watched a little round-ball, but not really too interested in that. The big 12 tournament is on, and KU and K-State will be playing tomorrow. It seem weird to have it played outside of Kemper Arena, for years the venue of the Big 8.... And it's damned near 23:00 and, although I have a lot to say, I'll save it for another day. Except for one tidbit... it seems like the Phidelphia mint left "In God We Trust" off of some 50,000 George Washington dollars, heh. IGWT and E Pluribus Unum are supposed to be on the edges of the coins, but this batch missed that part of the process. They're not really all that rare, so I might have to buy me one.
