Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

The brutality of the "might makes right" mindset is neigh to raising its ugly head over Iraq, smiting the guilty and the innocent alike... and yes, there will be innocents in that firey path.

And nobody thinks that it can be stopped.

And I really think that most Americans want to see it happen, they actually want another spectator war, where we kick ass and come out without a scratch. Want it to give them something to gloat about, something that they can give thanks to their god for.

After all, it's not *our* people that will be dying, just a bunch of foreigners. With the wrong religion, if they have any religion at all.

And still, in spite of there being no proof whatsoever, they think that Iraq had something to do with 911.

Shit.

Well, OK, on a lighter note... it got up to 80°F today! Really, it did! And it's not supposed to snow until Thursday....

I finally got fed up with the computer room, and cleaned it up a bunch, and Karen and I did some cleaning and rearranging in the kitchen/dining room area.

Of course, the impetus for this was we were having visitors... my old buddy Duane Luthi and his wife Bonnie came over for supper. Karen made her wonderful lasagna and we had salad and bread and a little wine, it was an excellent repast with good conversation. We had never met Bonnie, and Karen hadn't met Duane, and we had a grand old time talking to people who don't already know all of our stories. And I'm sure that they felt the same way....

And I was proud of myself, I only had one helping of the lasagna.

So we had a really good time, but they had to leave pretty early, since Bonnie, who has two total hips, was not feeling very well. We will get together with them more in the near future....

Karen had a coupla glasses of wine, and she is falling asleep in her chair, of course. She also had a pretty busy day, up at about 07:00 with Drew and then running around all morning and into the afternoon. Brian was playing in a basketball tournament, and Karen stayed for two games, and his team won the tournament, so he was pretty excited about that. Brian will be staying around until Tuesday....

And it time for bed, I got up about a half-hour after Karen did, but I went to bed a lot earlier last night, about 21:30... I was pretty well beat from work yesterday, and I slept like a log. I like it when I do that.
