I got a good sleep, although I had planned to get up and get a coupla floor patients done early, figgering that I would get called shortly after 07:00, 'cause the tech who was working last night (who does CTs) would be leaving, and nobody else would be there for CTs until 14:00. Hmmm... if I really cared, I would work on the sentence structure of that first, uh, paragraph. Don't try reading it out loud, you would most likely run clear out of breath. Anyhoo, I didn't get called until about 09:30, they were wondering when I was going to do the ICU patient... the one that I was planning on doing early. Well, it turned out to be a good thing, 'cause before I got there the doc had ordered additional exams on the patient and she would have had to be moved twice. Anyway, I got that one done and five or six others and then I came home about 15:00, and I haven't been called back since. Of course, I'm still on call until 07:00 in the morning, and I have to be at work at that time.... I've been wasting my time today at http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html... that's the NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day, a site that I visit about every three months and devour. It's not really much fun unless you've got cable of DSL, though, lots of bits in those pictures. Speaking of bits, the SETI team Nilky has surpassed 5,000 units for the cause, and we've moved into eighth place in the ALT.2600 group. I got an e-mail saying that I could DL my certificate of appreciation, suitable for framing... heh. Still, we've done more units than 99.97% of the participants. Speaking of Team Nilky, I still haven't heard from Tyler. I do hear *of* him frequently, through JD. I talked to JD tonight for quite a while, trying to help him cure his computer ills. Hopefully, things worked, but I haven't had an e-mail from him since then. Now I must go to bed. It was horribly hot here today, 107 for a heat index, 99 for real temperature. Strong southern wind, too. Just plain nasty. O'
well, only a coupla more weeks, then it's autumn....
