Friday, Friday, Friday! How sweet it is! How sweet it is that the working part of the day is over. This was a typical Friday, everyone wanted everything done before the weekend started. We were running from noon on, and I'm damned tard. I committed the sin a week or so ago of bragging about how sucessful my knee surgery was. Well, that sucker isn't looking very successful right now, it's half again as big as it should be. O'yeah, hurts like hell too. Zackly the way it hurt before the surgery. Luckily, I know what to do for it... Tylenol and ice, but I'm too lazy to put ice on it, the Tylenol works pretty good all by itself. Anyway, this afternoon I got into a discussion with a patient about people poking other people's veins. She was of the opinion that there are some people who are always good at it and some who are always bad. My counter is that we all have good days and bad days. She bet me that I couldn't hit her vein the first time, 'cause there was only one guy who had ever done that. Well, I made it two, but I think that she was conning me and egging me on to use my best stuff on her. That's OK, though. She was a hard stick, and most people will miss her on most days. Hell, the next time she comes to see me I'll probably miss her. But she got by today OK. What is it with kidnapping little girls lately? Something in the air? Has the right-wing been able to justify blaming Bill Clinton for it yet? Some people just need killing, dammit. I'm not a violent person, and I'm leaning more and more away from capital punishment, but dammit, some people just need to be killed. Yeah, and the hell with the law, lynch 'em, lynch 'em *right now*! Well, no, that was rash. We need laws, we do, if for no other reason than to keep me from being lynched by mistake. Yeah, it could happen. I'm taking my knee and going to sleep really early tonight. And I'm gonna have a fun weekend with Karen. So don't look for an update until Sunday.
