Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

All done. I have an "anal fissure" which became infected and the infection spread. I'm pretty much back to normal now, going to get some OTC meds for it and try to prevent a recurrence. I am very, very interested in this not happening again. Citrucel or Metamucil every day... yummy yummy! And a topical ointment.

The hell of it is, they didn't put me under nearly enough... but it was enough that I couldn't tell them to give me more, I was pretty helpless.

O'yeah, he also injected 10ml of Botox on either side of my anus.

Let me tell you, that hurt, yes, it did.

The doc also took a biopsy of "some lumpy-looking stuff" in the sigmoid, and I can t remember what he said that it was, but from looking at the pictures that he gave me I would say that it is granulosis from the healing tissue... but what do I know? I'm supposed to call the office next week and get the report on it.

Speaking of pictures, the white stuff on the surfaces in todays picture is small bubbles.

I tried taking a nap earlier and I might have even actually slept a little bit but I'm not really sure about that. When I got up around 16:15 it had rained a little bit and cooled down a whole bunch. It was around a hundred and two F when we came home, it was 81F at 16:15 and it's 78F now. Karen and I went to eat before we came home, went to a locally-owned pancake house and we both had omelettes. I hadn't eaten at this place in years and years, they're only open from 06:00 until 15:00... it's at 11th and Kansas downtown, and downtown rolls up the sidewalks at 17:00....

I'm on call starting at 20:00, the girl that traded call with me that horrible weekend two weeks ago is taking it for me until then. I don't anticipate getting called very much, I don't know what makes me think that 'cause I'm almost always wrong about these things.

Karen and Matt picked up Brian in Lawrence yesterday, he stayed at Matts last night and he's staying here tonight, Matt is going to the Deep Purple concert at Sandstone... a coupla my old night buddies are going too... heat-stroke time.

We're under a heat warning until Sunday night, temps up to 105F, humidities up to 98%, miserable weather. Heat indices of 110 or greater. I'll be in the inside except for going back and forth from the hospital, and I'm going to take the ACed car whenever possible.

Thanx for being here!
