Natterings, Notions

Notes

Well, Karen is still at the hospital...

Patrick lacerated his legs riding his bike down at the park... there's a motocross track there, and I'm sure that he was going a little bit beyond his capabilities.

The lacerations weren't really *that* bad, but one of them was clear through the skin and the fat over the bone under his knee. Needed a stitch or two, or maybe just some steri-strips...

Other than that, it's been a pretty boring day. I baked some sourdough bread, and downloaded a bunch of music for Karen. Actually, about two gigs worth... I finally discovered audiogalaxy, which has some advantages over napster. Tyler and JD have been using it for quite a while now, I guess, it was on a couple of machines here at home.

23:01... Karen just got back from the hospital. They didn't think that Patrick needed stitches, just steristripped it and let him go home. O'well, better safe than sorry... we hear that a lot in an emergency department.

It got warm enough today that we turned the AC back on; it got up to 90F, I think. Still, not to bad for the first of September.

JD has a birthday coming up on the 6th, and Tyler's is the 19th of October. Damn, those kids are getting old! I wonder which one of them is gonna start losing their hair first?

I will be upset if they aren't cursed with male pattern baldness. I feel that losing your hair at an early age builds character, kinda like pain, only it doesn't hurt. Well, not in the same way.

Tomorrow is the extra day off, I'm gonna try to enjoy it, and I hope that you all do too!

Thanx for being here!
