And it was a much better night, mostly because I got eleven and a half hours of sleep yesterday.
But that still only averages out to seven a day... I'm gonna go for ten today.
Had a little bit of excitement in the ED last night, guy came in shot in the leg; said that he did it accidentally.
Well, the police have to interview everyone who gets shot, and this guy hates cops. To make a long story short, he refused treatment (and x-rays) and went to jail. He was a very nasty guy once he got all riled up.
Other than that... well, I didn't do any CTs last night. It was steady but slower than usual for a Saturday night, mostly medical stuff, only two drunks if the shot guy was drunk (I didn't get close enough to smell him) and only one if he wasn't.
The cell phone phenomena is spreading... two of the ten-year-old neighborhood girls are riding their bikes and talking on the phone. Yep, they're phones, not walkie-talkies.
And they weave all over the place trying to talk and steer at the same time. One of them tries to use her hands to gesture while she's talking. I can't hardly stand to watch them... waiting for the crash.
The rain has been missing us a lot lately. Night before last there was a 75-mile wide storm that almost made to to Topeka, but it dissipated right before it go here. Last night, same thing again, dammit. Karen said that we got a little rain yesterday, but from the amount that was in my truck bed, it was less than 1/16th of an inch.
We really really need some rain, and it was supposed to rain all weekend; I'm disappointed by the whole thing.
Three twelves in a row coming up before my week off. I think that I'll just plan on resting this time when I'm off...
