I did get a good day's worth of sleep yesterday. Marta was supposed to be here at about 08:30 or so, but she still wasn't here at 09:30, so I went to bed... I was absolutely unable to stay awake any longer. Karen said that she called at 10:30 and talked to JD for a while and that Marta still hadn't shown up then, so I don't know what time they got out of here.
I was overwhelmed with mail last night when I got up... LiquidWeb was back online when I got up briefly at 12:30 or so, but I didn't read my mail until I got up at 19:30... I'm still not caught up with it, but I will be before I go to bed this morning.
Last night at work was pretty uneventful, except for the fact that my supervisor came in and did my evaluation She was going to do it this morning, but she had to come in last night for something else anyway.
And it was the best evaluation that I'd gotten in years, I was pretty happy with it. On the other hand, my raise was a mediocre 4%.... I really don't understand that part.
And another blow... the ceiling had been raised, so I didn't get that extra money that I'd been looking for to pay the property taxes... I'm almost always at the top of the scale and get a portion in cash. Although the pay increase always adds up to more than the cash portion, I'm always a bit disappointed when I don't get it.
After work, I went over to Joe's new house to try to diagnose a yellow screen problem, but he'd just moved in and couldn't find the power cord for the computer. I re-seated the video card, since that was most likely the problem, and he came over and borrowed a cord from me. He's supposed to call me when it's plugged in and let me know if that was the proper fix.
Or maybe he won't call before I go to bed... it's 08:15 and I've decided that I'm too tuckered to stay awake another minute... well, I have to, to FTP this up... about 5 minutes.
